- Writing on papyrus or clay shards
Using primary sources, the pupils gain an insight into everyday school life in a bygone era. The workshop invites the pupils to become Egyptian scribes themselves and write on papyrus or shards of clay using reeds. Possible focal points: Hieroglyphics, Latin or Greek
- Death & the afterlife in ancient Egypt
Students learn about the trials and challenges awaiting the deceased on their way to the afterlife from our Books of the Dead. The workshop approaches the difficult topic of death and the afterlife in a playful way.
- Ancient Egyptian mythology in a different way: The sun-god Re in distress!
Someone is trying to turn day into eternal night! Who could be behind it? A tricky task for little detectives. Help our crocodile Kleo to unmask the culprit and let the sun shine again together.
Age recommendation: Primary school
