Arabic, 10th century A.D., paper
ACh 11416
This pen and ink drawing of an Arab horse rider shows an unarmoured warrior with a lance and shield, as was typical of light and mobile cavalry.
Under the picture with the horse rider is written in Arabic: "the horse with the fierce attacker".
The otherwise unknown draughtsman Abu Tamim Haydara is named on the reverse. And also a braided band ornament and a praise to God is there on the reverse.
