If you need books or magazine articles that are not available at any publicly accessible library in Vienna, we are happy to order these for you from anywhere in Europe by means of an interlibrary loan.
Please use the online form in QuickSearch to use our interlibrary service. Please note that all orders are subject to a fee and please expect it to take between two and three weeks to obtain the ordered work.We will inform you by email once the ordered work has arrived.

The ordered items are issued and taken back at the circulation desk near the Main Reading Room in the Heldenplatz client area from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Please settle any fees there.
No, books may only be used in the reading rooms of the Austrian National Library.
