The enchanting watercolors by the great court botanical painter Mathias Schmutzer include some
1,300 different plant species and were commissioned by Emperor Franz II/ I. (1768-1835).
Help to save this unique flowering splendor from wilting. By becoming a sponsor, you can support the Austrian National Library in the restoration and conservation of these and many other unique objects. Give the gift of perpetual bloom to someone special.
